The Addiction Helpline and the Mental Health Helpline are both answered 24/7 by a team of registered mental health professionals (social workers, psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists) at Health Link.

The 24/7 New Parent and Newborn Line provides expert postpartum information to parents and caregivers of babies under two months old.

Dementia Advice supports people living with dementia and their care partners with health guidance, education, community resources and emotional support.
Call 811 to speak with a nurse specializing in dementia. After hours, Health Link staff can provide immediate advice and refer you to a specialized nurse if needed. You can also submit our self-referral form.

Call 811 to get information about vaccines and immunizations for yourself or your family. Trained staff can answer questions, provide guidance on vaccine schedules and help you find immunization services in your community.
This service has office hours, but immunization records can be requested outside of these hours.

The Alberta Virtual Pain Program is a virtual group education treatment program for adult Albertans who are experiencing persistent pain for longer than three months. Call 1-877-719-7707 to learn more about the program. Self-referral is accepted.

Virtual MD is a program that enables some Health Link 811 callers to talk to a doctor by phone or video about their immediate health concerns. Virtual MD staff will determine the most appropriate type of care, which may be virtual, referral to a primary care network or direction to the nearest emergency department.

Our Indigenous listeners will answer your questions and help you get culturally appropriate care. They also help guide you on each step of your healthcare journey. Available for First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples including youth and Elders, living on or off reserve, in a Settlement or in cities and towns.

The AlbertaQuits Helpline provides free, confidential support to help you cut back on or quit tobacco and vaping. Call to speak with a trained counselor for quitting plans, craving tips and encouragement.
