InformAlberta: Helping Albertans find supports faster

ALBERTA – Albertans can now access health and community service information more easily, through the redesigned InformAlberta website.

The updated site, which launched on Jan. 20, features a refreshed look, improved search tools and a mobile-friendly design to help people find supports faster – anytime, from anywhere.

InformAlberta has been connecting Albertans to trusted information since 2003, offering a searchable directory of community, health, social and government services – from mental health supports and food banks to community programs and government agencies.

InformAlberta, a Primary Care Alberta service, saw 2.47 million views in 2025, connecting Albertans with over 9,000 services.

“Albertans want information that is easy to find and easy to access,” said Kim Simmonds, CEO of Primary Care Alberta. “The previous InformAlberta website was built on older technology. Searching was difficult, and the site wasn’t designed for mobile devices. This redesign improves how people find services and supports – whether they’re at home, on the go, or supporting a loved one.”

The new site is fully mobile-friendly and includes enhanced search features that allow users to prioritize results by location, organization or service, including options available virtually or by phone.

InformAlberta serves as the source of truth for service information across the province. It supplies verified data to platforms such as Alberta 211, Alberta Health Services, and the Alberta Referral Directory. When information is updated in InformAlberta, those changes automatically flow to connected systems, ensuring Albertans access the most current service details.

InformAlberta is available 24/7, 365 days a year at informalberta.ca.

Primary Care Alberta is a made-in-Alberta solution to improve access to the primary care services Albertans rely on. We meet Albertans wherever they live, work, play and learn, promoting prevention, supporting lifelong health journeys, and serving as a vital entry point to a complex network of care.

Together, we are creating a future where compassionate, timely and effective healthcare is available to every Albertan at every stage of life.
